Social media marketing can be hit or miss these days but I was surprised at the enthusiasm and the quality of attendees and speakers.

Custom Tabs on Facebook Fan Pages

Recently for work I built a custom tab page for a client. When you add the tab you can set it as your default page and use it as a landing page for first time visitors. This is a great way to introduce people to your products or company.

It was fairly easy to do with very little coding knowledge. I wanted to share a few links that I found very helpful.

A conversation is like a volleyball game. There is a equal back and forth but if you don’t participate, you drop the ball. So for today’s brand managers I say join the conversation and keep in mind the following rules:

Be courteous
Include everyone
Respect others opinions
Contribute
Stick to the subject
Be a good listener

Who would of thought a film from the 1950s could apply to today?

Today conversations happen whether or not you choose to participate. The key here is will your company be the facilitator or will it be left on the sidelines.
